Holistic Aromatherapy is a natural therapy and healing art using essential oils extracted from aromatic plants to enhance the health of an individual.
Controlled use of these pure essential oils is without side-effects and is non addictive and the professional blending of the oils is tailored to suit individual needs. The therapeutic properties of these oils significantly improves physical and psychological well-being and when the correct oils are selected, aromatherapy works quickly and effectively - it complements conventional medicine. Regular treatments will help optimum health and vitality and improve specific problems.
Aromatherapy benefits the mind, body and spirit and it helps to relax or stimulate as it calms, uplifts and rejuvenates. It can assist in the treatment of almost every type of discomfort and pain. It soothes away the stresses and strains of modern life.
Pregnancy and Postnatal Massage
Pregnancy is a special time in a woman’s life when she needs specific care and attention. Aromatherapy is valued as a non-invasive aid to natural birth and healthy postnatal recovery and it also promotes well-being and alleviates minor disorders.
In addition to general well-being it helps with:
- Swelling of the legs and feet
The use of pure essential oils with their gentle, calming and healing properties in addition to general health can help your baby at times of need. It helps with:
- Cradle cap
- Irritability and crying
- Chicken Pox
Babies and children with complex needs, disabilities, neurological muscular conditions and cancer benefit from therapeutic massage. Positive touch is a direct counterbalance to all inevitable unpleasant touch and invasive procedures a baby or child receives in hospital. Specialist massage techniques nurtures and significantly reduces pain, it releases the happy hormone which helps lower the levels of stress and is very calming.

Baby massage has been such an enjoyable course. It was recommended to me by a friend and I thought I would give it a go as my baby boy is very tactile. What I hadn't anticipated and what was a bonus to an already great class, was the pearls of wisdom I would receive from Amanda. Amanda truly understands babies and their funny ways. She not only helped me with my baby's sleep during the night (or should I say lack of sleep) but also helped others with their baby's reflux with ways to improve it. Amanda is knowledgeable and it is clear that she loves what she does. Cannot recommend the classes and Amanda more highly.

Baby Yoga with Amanda has been such a joy for my son Oliver. Amanda accompanies the poses and movements with fun songs which have put big smiles on Oliver’s face, as well has helped him develop his rhythm skills. Baby yoga has not only helped my son’s motor skills but Amanda also incorporates gentle postnatal exercises that have strengthened my core and made me feel relaxed. I would definitely recommend Amanda and her courses.

Just finished my baby massage course with Amanda and it was such a lifeline during lock down! Amanda really cares about you and your baby’s and it is so much more than baby massage. You can see how much the baby’s love the massage and it has been a great way for us to establish a night time routine. Amanda shared advice from her huge wealth of experience for any challenges we were facing from sleeping patterns to feeding to how to play with your baby to help them to develop! Looking forward to baby yoga next!

I am doing the baby massage class over zoom during lockdown, and it is wonderful! My baby adores it and it's a lovely bonding time for us. It's also interesting to hear about all the amazing developmental benefits. Amanda is friendly and a great teacher, she gives us lots of helpful advice from her years of experience as a midwife on many baby topics. I would absolutely recommend this class.
